Douglas Regional 9-1-1 is the emergency communications center for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and our partner agencies throughout Douglas and Elbert Counties. Our dispatchers are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, answering emergency and non-emergency calls and coordinating law enforcement and fire/EMS responses.

Our dispatchers are trained first responders who serve as the critical connection between the public and responders in the field. From the moment a call comes into the center until responders arrive on scene, our job is to gather accurate information, provide lifesaving instructions when needed, send the appropriate resources, and keep responders informed and safe.

The Douglas Regional 9-1-1’s Incident Dispatch Vehicle (IDV) brings dispatch capabilities directly to the scene of major incidents, planned events, and other operations requiring extended communications support.

The IDV allows trained Emergency Communications Specialists to work alongside incident command personnel while maintaining a direct connection with the Douglas Regional 9-1-1 communications center.
