DCSO Investigators Identify Juvenile Suspect in Brush Fire in Castle Pines

Castle Pines, CO, June 19, 2024 – On June 18th at approximately 11:30 a.m., a brush fire was reported near Bristolwood Lane and Monarch Boulevard in Castle Pines. Investigators from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and South Metro Fire Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office have determined that the fire was intentionally set.

Following a thorough investigation, a juvenile has been identified as the suspect. Criminal charges are pending review by the district attorney’s office. Due to the age of the suspect, no further information will be released at this time.

Thanks to a quick call to 911 from a resident and the immediate response from fire crews, no structures were damaged.
