We arrested Mr. Ballard and executed a search warrant at his home in the 600 block of Alkire Street in Lakewood with the assistance of the Lakewood Police Department. We are releasing this information and Mr. Ballard’s photo to determine if there are any additional victims. Ballard started working at the Journey Academy, 7691 S. University Blvd., Centennial, in May 2021. He was also known to go to their secondary location, Journey Life Center, 6228 South Carr Street, Littleton. The Parker Police Department, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are each working with potential victims in their jurisdiction.

A parent reported this case to us on Saturday, March 2, after speaking with their child. We want to encourage anyone who thinks their child may have been a victim of Mr. Ballard’s, knows someone who may have been a victim or has information about this case to please contact Parker Detective Bev Wilson at 303.805.6561 or bwilson@parkerco.gov or Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Detective Randy Allen at 303.784.7802 or rallen@dcsheriff.net.

A charge is merely an accusation, and a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
