I received a call from Publisher’s Clearing House (PCH) about a month ago telling me I was a winner. The message sounded very professional like you would hear on tv, no accents. I immediately knew it was a scam because I never entered to win, which is required. I nearly called back just to see what was required to receive my winnings, what kind of dollar amount or how many gift cards they wanted me to buy them. But I thought maybe I shouldn’t even call the number they left on my voicemail because who knows what that number was connected to. I can understand why so many seniors are baited by these scams, being so naive and trusting. It’s a shame there are those kinds of people out there preying on the innocent.
