(Douglas County, Colorado) The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an inmate. A detentions deputy discovered Victorine Galvan Grice (DOB 11/28/1967), unresponsive at approximately 6:30 a.m. She was in a cell by herself. There are no signs of trauma.
The final cause and manner of death is still under investigation by the Douglas County Coroner’s Office.
The Douglas, Lincoln and Elbert County Critical Incident Response Team is conducting a full investigation, with the assistance of the Castle Rock Police Department.
Grice was in custody on charges of Second Degree Murder and Domestic Violence.
