On 06/05/23 at approximately 5:30 a.m., Douglas County deputies on Graves A shift responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle located in the 6400 Block of East County Line Road in Highlands Ranch. A caller told dispatchers an individual in a white car had pulled up and parked in front of the business, then went over the fence to an adjacent storage facility. Deputies searched the area and located a suspect in one of the storage lockers. They took him into custody and identified him as Josue Manuel Andrade, DOB 01/12/1993, of Denver. Deputies reviewed video from a nearby business that showed the suspect park, jump the fence, cut the lock, and enter the storage locker, closing it behind him. The following items were found on or near where the suspect was crouching: a Smith & Wesson handgun, a large pad lock which had been cut, and a large set of bolt cutters. Deputies searched the suspect’s vehicle and found additional evidence including approximately 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and identification that did not belong to the suspect. Andrade is being held on charges of second degree burglary, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance, criminal mischief, second degree criminal trespass, and possession of an identification document. Criminal charges are merely allegations, and the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
