DCSO Helps End Crime Spree

(Douglas County, Colorado) On April 2nd, 2025 deputies from Swings A, K-9, and Traffic units responded to a request from Colorado State Patrol to assist in pursuing a stolen vehicle that had been carjacked at gunpoint in Arvada, CO.
A CSP aircraft located the suspect vehicle traveling northbound on I-25. DCSO deputies deployed stop sticks and executed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) to bring the pursuit to an end. Following the stop, both occupants fled on foot, but were quickly taken into custody by DCSO deputies.
The suspects had outstanding warrants and are now facing charges including auto theft, robbery, burglary, and Department of Corrections violations.
The Colorado State Patrol is leading the investigation for the eluding and apprehension of the vehicle in Douglas County. The Arvada Police Department, Colorado is leading the original investigation regarding the home invasion and carjacking in Arvada. Just a reminder for criminals: don’t come to Douglas County if you don’t want to get caught.
“Thanks to the quick coordination and relentless efforts of our deputies and law enforcement partners, we were able to successfully apprehend these dangerous suspects and put an end to this crime spree. This outcome is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of everyone involved. The safety of our community is our top priority, and I am proud of the teamwork that made this operation a success.” – Sheriff Darren Weekly
