Arrest Made in Connection with Kidnapping and Related Charges

(Highlands Ranch, CO) The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the Friday evening kidnapping in Highlands Ranch. 42-year-old Thomas Pratt was apprehended earlier today and is currently being booked for his involvement in the crimes.

Pratt is facing serious charges, including first-degree kidnapping, felony menacing, first-degree criminal trespass as well as a parole violation. The arrest comes after thorough investigation and collaboration between multiple law enforcement agencies.

“Our deputies worked around the clock since this happened to track down the suspect. This was fantastic police work by our detectives, Impact team, and our partners at the Denver Police Department, Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force and the United States Secret Service. Make no mistake about it: if you prey on Douglas County residents, we will find you and hold you accountable,” said Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank those who called in tips and information. Details surrounding the case are still emerging, and the investigation remains ongoing.
