Save Lives Local: Join the Douglas County Community Blood Drive on Sept. 16

(Highlands Ranch, CO) The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the American Red Cross of Colorado and Highlands Ranch Community Association to host a community blood drive on September 16, 2026. Community members are invited to step up, rolling up their sleeves to support local hospitals and save lives.

According to the American Red Cross, someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds. Blood donations play a critical role in emergency response, trauma care, surgeries, and ongoing treatments for patients with critical medical conditions. A single donation can help save up to three lives, directly benefiting patients in need throughout the region.

Event Details:

  • Date: Wednesday, September 16, 2026

  • Location: Southridge Recreation Center, 4800 McArthur Ranch Rd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80130

  • Appointments: Pre-registration is encouraged to secure a spot, though walk-ins will be accommodated as space allows.

  • Register: Register to Donate

Members of the public, county staff, and local partners are encouraged to participate and help meet the ongoing need for life-saving blood supplies.
