(Douglas County, CO) The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has identified 28-year-old Adam Bauserman as the suspect in the fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at the intersection of East Wildcat Reserve Parkway and Willowbridge Way on June 1st.
The suspect allegedly struck three pedestrians with his vehicle before fleeing the scene. One victim died at the scene, while two other victims sustained serious injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
A witness to the crash followed the suspect’s vehicle and provided updates to Douglas County Regional Dispatch until deputies arrived and took the driver into custody.
Preliminary charges for Bauserman include the following seven felonies and one misdemeanor:
- Vehicular Homicide
- Failed to remain at the scene of an accident involving death
- Failed to remain at the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury (2 counts)
- Vehicular assault (2 counts)
- Assault in the second degree – Crimes to at-risk persons
- Drove motor vehicle when license under restraint (express consent refusal/DUI conviction)
A judge set his bond at $100,000.
