Battle of the Badges Blood Drive Returns for Round Two

battle of the badges 1

(Douglas County, CO) After an overwhelmingly successful first year, the Battle of the Badges Blood Drive is back for Round 2, bringing local first responders and the community together once again to help save lives.

Last year’s event exceeded expectations, with collective efforts resulting in 212 units of blood donated—enough to save and enhance the lives of up to 633 patients. The breakdown included 111 units on Day 1, 70 units on Day 2, and 31 units through the Vitalant virtual drive, along with 39 first-time donors stepping up to give blood for the very first time.

Building on that momentum, this year’s Battle of the Badges will take place over two days:

Day 1: Parker Fieldhouse, Parker

March 24 | 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Day 2: Douglas County Fairgrounds

March 25 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The Battle of the Badges is a friendly competition among first responder agencies, but the real winners are patients in need. Blood donations play a critical role in emergency care, surgeries, cancer treatment, and trauma response, and community participation is essential.
