Ranch View Middle School Teacher Arrested for Sexual Assault on a Child, Internet Exploitation of a Child, and Stalking

(Douglas County, Colorado) On November 10, 2025, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Detectives with the Special Victims Unit arrested 28-year-old Teresa Whalin, of Centennial, on suspicion of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, internet exploitation of a child, and stalking.

Whalin has been employed by the Douglas County School District since July 2021. She has been placed on administrative leave. The Douglas County School District has been notified of the arrest and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Whalin was transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility, where she is currently being held on a $50,000 bond. All charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information regarding this case or who believes they or someone they know might also be a victim of Whalin to contact Detective Clay at sclay@dcsheriff.net.

This is still an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
