(Douglas County, CO) On February 13, 2026, Andrew Sanders was terminated from his employment with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
On Saturday, February 7, 2026, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Parker Police Department arrested Sanders near the intersection of Jordan Road and Bradbury Parkway. He is facing charges including driving under the influence, careless driving, assault on a peace officer, and obstruction.
Sheriff Darren Weekly said, “I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the arrest of one of our employees and the serious charges he is now facing. The alleged conduct is disgraceful and stands in direct opposition to the values, integrity, and professionalism we demand of every member of this agency.
No one is above the law — regardless of rank, position, or tenure. We hold our employees to the highest standards of ethical behavior, and when those standards are violated, we take swift and appropriate action.
While these allegations are serious, as with all cases, he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
The actions of one individual do not reflect the dedication, honor, and hard work demonstrated daily by the men and women of this agency who serve our community with integrity. Transparency and accountability are essential to maintaining the public’s trust.”
