On 01/07/24, around 10:24 a.m., Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 800 block of Elmhurst Dr. on the report of shots being fired, possibly related to a family disturbance. When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered one deceased person. One person has been taken into custody. There is no danger to the community.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a death investigation. The Douglas County Coroner will determine the official identification of the deceased person as well as the cause and manner of the death.
