Douglas Senior Safe Phone Program available to douglas county citizens

This is meant for older adults who feel lonely, isolated, or just not connected to our great community. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office partnered with Castle Rock Senior Activity Center (CRSAC) to serve our older adults. Clients will receive phone calls from a CRSAC volunteer. The number of calls is up to the client. Douglas County Sheriff’s Office gets involved after multiple calls are not answered. The volunteer will call dispatch to send a deputy to the address of the client. In this program, the client is empowered to tell the sheriff’s office how they wish to respond based on two options: a standard welfare check or a senior welfare check. This is a great program where the client controls every step, from phone calls to law enforcement responses. To receive this service, you must live in unincorporated Douglas County, Castle Pines, Franktown, or Larkspur.

Contact Deputy Ryan Falkner at 303-663-7748 or by email at rfalkner@dcsheriff.net if you are interested in this program.
