Louviers, CO – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of Emergency Management are pleased to announce that the Airport Fire is now 100% contained. This milestone was achieved thanks to the tireless efforts of all the fire crews, support personnel, and agencies who worked around the clock to protect lives and property. Mother Nature’s favorable weather conditions helped support containment efforts.
While the fire is fully contained, crews will remain on scene to monitor for any remaining hot spots to ensure the area stays safe in the coming days. **While the fire is contained, it is not fully extinguished. Smoke may still be visible due to remaining hot spots.
