No Holiday Spirit for this Grinch!
Early this morning, #DCSO deputies were called to Cactus Flower Way and Mountain Sage Drive in Highlands Ranch on the report of an adult male wearing a dark jacket and tan pants trying the door handles of cars on the street. A deputy spotted the male walking down the street, and when he stopped and contacted him, the male answered a couple of questions and then fled. The deputy gave him several commands to stop, which he refused. He was seen throwing a bag as he was running. The suspect, identified as Adam Jackson, DOB 04/23/86, of Centennial, was taken into custody a short while later.
Deputies discovered evidence of property belonging to others, possibly taken out of vehicles and mailboxes. Deputies were able to return some of the property to the victims.
Jackson was taken to the Douglas County Detention Facility, where he was booked in on charges related to vehicle trespass, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest, and financial and identification crimes.
A charge is merely an accusation; the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
