NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – By order of Sheriff Tony Spurlock, the Stage 1 fire restrictions that were put into place on October 3, 2019 have been lifted and are no longer in place for Unincorporated Douglas County. The current conditions have been evaluated by Sheriff Spurlock and the Douglas County Emergency Management team and it was determined that fire restrictions were not necessary at this time.
We will continue to monitor conditions throughout Douglas County and place restrictions as they are needed in the future. We would like to remind the public to continue to use caution when dealing with open fires and discharging firearms as fires are always a concern in Colorado.
