SkyView Academy(SVA) is a PK-12 grade public charter school in Douglas County. With nearly all SVA families driving their students to school every day, in addition to teenage high school drivers, they are participating in a safe driving promotion and contest to win a $100,000 grant for their school. SkyView is the only school in Douglas County this year competing in this nationwide campaign.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office receives more complaints about traffic concerns than any other call for service. We are supporting SkyView Academy in their strategy to promote safe driving and encourage you to vote for them during the 10 day voting period.
Here’s what you can do to help SVA and the community to win by getting the most votes and increasing safe driving awareness, especially for new teen drivers:
- On WEDNESDAY October 15th, register your email and birthdate on the site sponsored by State Farm – www.celebratemydrive.com (no information is kept after the 24th, and the birthdate is to assure you are over age 14 to vote).
- Choose SkyView Academy in zip code 80130 as the school you will be voting for each day (6161 Business Center Drive, HR 80130).
- Take a minute and VOTE for SkyView EVERY DAY from October 15-24 from the www.celebratemydrive.com website.
- Put a reminder in your calendar to remember to vote daily ( October 15th – 24th) during the 10 day voting period to support SkyView Academy and promote safe driving.
Thank you on behalf of our organization and theirs !!
Safe driving awareness and habits save lives.
