NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – On April 24th, 2020, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to 10169 Park Meadows Dr, in unincorporated Douglas County after receiving information that there had been shots fired and possibly one person had been hit. Upon arrival, deputies located a subject laying on the ground with injuries. Deputies and paramedics initiated life saving efforts, but the subject was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel.
Deputies on scene gathered information from witnesses and the information was aired to responding units. Two persons of interest were detained at Lincoln Blvd and Park Meadows. Both subjects were detained and transported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office to be interviewed. They are cooperating with investigators at this time. No formal charges have been decided at this time. There is no danger to the public and we do not have any suspects at large. We are still looking for a male and a female believed to be associated to the victim.
The family of the victim will be notified once the victim is positively identified by the Douglas County Coroner.
