Shots Fired Call in Meridian Leads to Arrest of One Adult Male

NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – On May 16, 2020, at around 12:11am deputies were called to the Zenith Meridian Apartments, located in unincorporated Douglas County, on a call of shots fired inside of an apartment.
While in route, deputies learned that the reporting party had heard arguing and what they believed to be gunshots inside of an apartment. On scene, deputies were able to gain entry into the apartment, where they contacted three individuals, who were all detained. One party had minor injuries, not related to a gunshot. No other injuries were reported. One adult male, identified as Cody Latimer DOB 101092, was taken into custody and transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility.

Latimer was booked in on the following charges:
18-3-203 Assault in the 2nd Degree F4
18-3-206 Menacing F5
18-12-107 Illegal Discharge of a Firearm F5
18-12-106 Prohibited Use of a Weapon M2
18-3-208 Reckless Endangerment M3

Latimer is being held on a $25,000 bond. It was also learned that Latimer is currently on the roster for the Washington Redskins.
