Josh joined the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in August of 2020.  Josh has over twenty years’ experience with the National Forest Service working in fire suppression, including 7 years with the Pike Interagency Hotshot Crew.

With a strong background in fire operations, Josh implements our fire suppression, fuels management and integrated fire management programs.  He also oversees the Douglas County Handcrew and Douglas County Heavy Equipment Fire Team.  Josh functions as OEM field rep and EOC liaison on incidents within Douglas County, supporting Unified Command efforts.
