Investigators Seek Public’s Help Identifying Woman Found Along I-25

For Immediate Release

(Douglas County, CO) The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a woman whose body was discovered early Sunday morning along the southbound side of I-25, just north of Exit 173 near Larkspur. Investigators are actively working to determine both the identity of the woman and the cause of death.

At this time, the deceased is described as an adult female with brown or black hair. She was found wearing grey leggings and a black long-sleeve shirt. Investigators recovered distinctive bedding at the scene and are hopeful that someone may recognize it.

In addition, investigators are asking any commercial vehicle drivers who traveled through the area on June 4th or June 5th to review their dash camera footage. Vehicles with cameras that captured activity along southbound I-25 near Exit 173 during those dates may have critical information, even if it doesn’t seem immediately relevant.

If you have any information that could assist with the identification of this individual or if you witnessed anything suspicious in the area, please contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP(7867). Tips can be submitted anonymously, and you may be eligible for a cash reward.
