(Douglas County, CO) We’re incredibly proud to celebrate young Eli, who was honored by Douglas Regional 9-1-1 and Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly during a school assembly for his quick thinking and calm demeanor in an emergency.
When his little brother began choking, Eli didn’t panic—he calmly called 911, gave the dispatcher his exact address, and followed instructions like a pro. Dispatcher Bloss even said his composure and ability to communicate so clearly were “very grown up.”
Thanks to Eli’s actions, help arrived quickly, and his brother is safe.
