DCSO Deputies Helps Rescue a Woman From a Fire

(Sedalia, Colorado) Early on Saturday, June 8, 2024, around 3:15 a.m., a reported explosion rocked a property on Platte Avenue in Sedalia, Colorado. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office swiftly dispatched deputies to the scene. Deputy Walpole was the first on the scene and found a house and an RV engulfed in flames.

Without hesitation, Deputy Walpole ran toward the fire to make sure no one was inside or in harms way. He discovered a woman with limited mobility in a nearby RV. Deputy Walpole picked her up and carried her to safety.

Firefighters from West Douglas Fire joined the effort, battling the blaze and preventing further damage. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
