Multiple Vehicle Trespasses in Douglas County- 2 Arrested

PRESS RELEASE-STOCK

On January 31, 2016, at about 3:20 a.m. patrol responded to the area of Sylvestor Place and Gwendelyn Place in Highlands Ranch, on a report of persons trying to open vehicle doors.  Deputies responded into the neighborhood from multiple directions and contacted two male subjects matching the description of those seen attempting to enter vehicles.  One of the males contacted was a juvenile, who’s name cannot be mentioned, and the other was an adult, Chandler Patterson. Patterson is an 18 year-old Highlands Ranch resident.

A witness was also able to positively identify the suspect as the one who attempted to enter her vehicles.  There were a total of 33 vehicles in which entry had been attempted or completed by the two suspects.

Both males were taken into custody on; (5) counts 1st degree criminal trespass of an auto, (25) counts attempted 1st degree criminal trespass to an auto, theft, and conspiracy.  A variety of stolen property was located on each person.

Patterson was transported to the Douglas County Detentions Center and is being held on a $3,000 bond.

The juvenile was transported to a juvenile assessment center.
