Alexander Reighart, age 29, who ran from Douglas County Sheriff’s Office custody on February 20th, has been arrested and is in the Douglas County jail.
Detectives had been working on this case since the 20th and were able to locate Reighart in Denver. With the assistance of the Denver Police Department and Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force, he was taken into custody without incident.
“Although we know this manhunt should not have been necessary, I applaud the perseverance of our detectives and our partners at the Denver Police Department and the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Fugitive Task Force to get Reighart back into custody where he belongs.'” said Sheriff Weekly.
He not only faces charges of escape and possession of drugs but is also being held on several felony warrants.
