Mike joined the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in February 2014.  He has over 20 years Fire Management experience, including 13 years with the Pike Interagency Hotshot Crew.

Mike’s duties include supporting the OEM Director in fulfilling the mission and responsibilities of Douglas County Emergency Management. Mike also provides professional leadership, direction, administration and financial oversight for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Unit and Fire Management program.

Mike holds a Master of Science degree in Fire Science from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and Fire Management from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.  Mike is a member of the Rocky Mountain Federal Type 1 Incident Management Team in the Operations Section.
