Anne Walton Emergency Management Coordinator

Anne joined the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in January 2016, bringing with her eight years of experience with Douglas County Government, where she most recently served as the Emergency Support Services Coordinator.
In her current role, Anne oversees a wide range of emergency management programs, including Citizen Disaster Preparedness and Outreach, Senior Care Facility Coordination, and the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). She also leads coordination efforts for Disaster Mass Care and Animal Emergency Response and serves as the Logistics Section Chief within the Emergency Operations Center.
Anne collaborates extensively with both local and national non-governmental organizations to enhance community resilience. Her leadership in Disaster Mass Care extends to her role as Chair of the North Central Region (NCR) Mass Care Committee, and she is an active member of the NCR Animal Emergency Sub-Committee.
Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
