Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly has authorized the release of this photo showing the suspect in yesterday’s incident pointing a handgun at Douglas County deputies, who were at the rear of the truck. Deputies pursued the suspect after shots were fired from the suspect’s truck at Thornton police officers.
“I couldn’t be prouder of how our personnel responded and reacted to this situation. Our deputies repeatedly put themselves in harm’s way to protect this community and to stop these criminals. I’m thankful that all our involved personnel went home safely, and no innocent civilians were injured. I also want to commend our partners at the Thornton Police Department, the Castle Rock Police Department, and the Colorado State Patrol for their professionalism.”
The suspect’s booking photo and the passenger’s booking photo are included. These are the only photos that will be released at this time.
