NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has taken custody of a 24-year-old man for his part in the events of February 6, 2019, that lead to a fatal crash at Santa Fe and Mineral Ave.
On February 19, 2019, at around 1200 hours, Mario Juan JOSE DOB 10/10/1994 was arrested by the Denver Police Department on active charges as well as a Douglas County Warrant that was issued on February 13, 2019. Detectives from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office took custody of JOSE, who has been transported to the Douglas County Detention Facility where he was booked in on the following charges.

JOSE is currently being held on a $1,000,000 bond. At this time his mugshot is not being released due to the active investigation as well as to allow Denver PD to investigate their charges. Once it can be released, the media will be notified, and they can submit a records request.
