On March 5, 2024, at 7:26 pm, deputies responded to the parking lot of a business at the 9300 block of Dorchester St. in Highlands Ranch, CO, on the report of a man attacking a female and that he was armed with a gun. The male fled before deputies arrived. On the scene, it was learned that the suspect had tried to get into the victim’s car and displayed a weapon. The suspect, who was unknown to the victim, grabbed her and would not let go. He eventually ran away from the scene.
While deputies were investigating, a call was aired of a suspicious person nearby trying to break into vehicles. When deputies got on the scene of this call, they gave the suspect several commands to comply, which he disregarded. A #DCSO K9 was deployed, and the suspect was taken into custody. The description of this suspect matched the one given by the female victim in the previous incident.
The suspect faces charges of kidnapping, felony menacing, assault, obstruction and harassment.
