On July 1, 2017, at approximately 10:15 p.m. Dispatch received a call from a man, identified as 59-year-old Frank Leo Huner Jr., advising that he had just fatally shot what he believed to be an intruder breaking into his home located in the 3400-block of Elk Canyon Ct., Sedalia.
During the call, Frank Huner identified the intruder as his adult son.
According to information filed in a probable cause affidavit, Frank Leo Huner Jr. (DOB 9/10/1958) has been taken into custody and booked on charges of 2nd Degree Murder, however, the investigation is still in the beginning stages and the charges may change.
This is still an ongoing and active investigation. No additional information will be released at this time.
