County Sheriffs of Colorado Scholarship Opportunity

Since 1978, each academic school year, County Sheriffs of Colorado (CSOC) select approximately thirty students across the State of Colorado to receive a $500.00 scholarship from the Sheriff’s Office of the students residing county. This scholarship program is looked at by the CSOC as an investment in the future by way of assisting deserving students with their educational financial obligations and was established as a commitment to the honorary members of the CSOC.

Douglas County Sheriff’s office is now accepting student applications for the 2017/2018 CSOC Scholarship, with an application deadline of February 24, 2017. Application and guidelines can be found at www.csoc.org.

Applications received will be reviewed by a selected citizens committee. Each committee will select one scholarship recipient and two runners up. The announcement of the award will be made by April 21, 2017, and the award will be presented to the recipient by Sheriff Tony Spurlock as soon thereafter as possible.

Any questions or inquiries regarding the CSOC scholarship program should be directed to the scholarship coordinator, Sharon Villanueva, at the CSOC office at (720) 344-4618 or svillanueva@csoc.org.
